4/5 (2)

This topic covers the basic steps to take in order to get into the Stratix 5700 – Express Setup. Hopefully this post will save some time for others in the community. In order to enter the express setup there are a few steps to take for an out-of-the-box configuration.

  1. Make sure you ethernet port is configured for automatic IP assignment.
  2. Next power up the switch and when the “Setup” light blinks, using a paper clip press and hold the Express Setup button for approximately 4 seconds.
  3. This will illuminate a port for you to connect to to get an automatic IP address on the 169.254.0.0 network. (The switch will be 169.254.0.1 configured on default VLAN1000).
  4. Once online you will be presented with the Device Manager’s express setup page where you’ll be able to configure the IP address and Subnet.
